Timeless romance. High contrast between white walls and black furnishingS along with warm tones in the roman shades and touches of gold make this room both crisp and cozy.
Mismatched second-hand store dressers are refinished in matching black and serve as nightstands . A new four poster bed, over-sized lamps and a vintage oil painting framed in gold give this space subtle drama. In this master bedroom the marriage of new and old allow the space to feel timeless rather than dated or trendy.
Madison Master Bath
In this baby girl's room I used grays, creams and tans to grow with baby, or to suit a baby brother who might move in one day. Pops of peach and gold add warmth and femininity, while a gallery of romantic mirrors give the space a little sparkle.

Rustic Boys Bedroom
The brothers who share this room live for outdoor adventures. I wanted to bring a vintage lake cabin feel to this space. I achieved it with simple bedding, old school fish species posters, and the boys favorite…the turtle shell specimens hung over a leather butterfly chair.

Van Hise Nursery
Lake Wisconsin Nursery
This baby girl’s nursery has a clean, retro feel. An up-cycled Mid-Century side table, floral crib sheet, and rag doll all make this nursery feel like a modern throw-back. Meaningful mementos, like Mom's old sneakers preserved in silver and woodland animals painted by Baby's grandmother provide fodder for imagining how this little lady will make her mark on the world. I love personal touches like that and invite them in every space.
